Thanksgiving memories
We stayed at home again this Thanksgiving, since travelling means either having to buy four plane tickets or driving two days in a car to reach family. I started off the day with the traditional Turkey Bowl. Andy and Mason came with me to the Turkey Bowl, but it was windy and cold, so they abandoned me to go home. (They got a ride from our friends the Bartons. Andy didn't drive himself.) About the time they left, the weather got a little warmer and we had a great time playing football.
Later in the day we went over to the Bartons' house for Thanksgiving dinner. After the kids ate dinner, they went off to play outside. While the adults were eating their dinner, Mason came in to announce that he had lost his tooth. He had been working on his front tooth for a while, and I thought he still had at least a week before he wiggled it out. (Mason is known to avoid anything that might cause him discomfort or pain.) When asked how it had come out, Mason said something about it getting caught kind of, sort of, accidently on Brinkley Barton's sweater while they may or may not have been wrestling. We still haven't figured out why he might have been biting her sweater.

Halloween
Mason decided that he wanted to be a samurai for Halloween this year, and Spencer thought that was a splendid idea. (He's a big fan of the children's book "Three Samurai Cats.") Thank goodness for a grandmother who can sew, because we would have had a hard time finding a bunch of samurai costumes. We were even able to convince Grandma Scott that baby Samuel needed a samurai costume, too. Grandma Genetti took the older boys trick-or-treating. It was too early for Samuel to go out, and Ethan was working for the fourth year in a row.
